Bowerbird House is refreshingly realistic about what your project will cost. The firm prefers to give a cap depending on the scope of the job and honor that cap rather than burden the client with hidden costs.

Our design fee is based on how much of the project the client wishes to have managed by the firm. It is always in the client's best interests to have all components managed and designed by the design firm in order to avoid miscommunications, shoddy work, and delays. Bowerbird House maintains a crew of craftsmen in all phases of design labor from floor sanding, sound systemming to paint finishers along with "to the trade only" fabrics and antiquing field work.

We are pleased to offer the following formulas, provided they are appropriate for the project:

The Traditional Contract
Consultations, after the initial meeting, and retail shopping for the client are billed at $100.00 per hour plus expenses. All components of fabric, furniture, wallpaper and accessories are billed to the client on a proforma basis. Labor is billed at 50% proforma and 50% at scheduling of delivery.

The Instant Decorating Contract
This plan is often desirable for the smaller project. The decorating transformation is accomplished by a thorough professional house cleaning, rearranging, and sprucing up the existing furniture, integrating new purchases and shopping for instant delivery of key large pieces and accessories. The fee for this work is $100.00 per hour.

All initial interviews to determine compatibility are at no charge.
